2008 Financial Review…From A Thespian Point of View!
December 31, 2008 by Greg Saunders
Well Peachtree City the end of 2008 finally approaches. So what was life’s financial lesson in the year 2008. Well, since this is the last post for this year I thought I’d ask you to lend me an ear or in this case your third
eye as I invoke some Shakespeare in my analysis of the financial collapse. OK, OK, I wouldn’t be classified as a thespian but how would Shakespeare a literary genius when it came to tragedy with heroes like Hamlet,Macbeth, King Lear and Othello, review our current financial state.
‘Twas the Night Before Christmas…Politically Correct!
December 24, 2008 by admin
Well Peachtree City, the Holidays are upon us once again! As I began to write about the holiday I wanted to hone in on how we have to be so politically correct about everything nowadays.
For instance Christmas is a legal holiday and was made a legal holiday in order to celebrate the birth of Christ. It is now, however, politically incorrect to say Merry Christmas because you might insult non Christians and atheists. We are told that the correct greeting is now Happy Holidays. Stores now advertise and sell….Holiday gifts! They wish us Happy Holidays and play Holiday music that does not mention Christmas, Christ or God. It doesn’t matter that they are insulting Christians, because Christians, by nature of their beliefs, are forgiving.
Starr’s Mill Senior Publishes Debut Novel - Book signing at Books-a-Million on 12/21/2008!
December 18, 2008 by admin
The summer before her freshman year at Starr’s Mill, Becca Ritchie, now a senior, was ready to write her first novel. She had written a story before, proving that she could write something of length, but she was ready to write something that she and her twin sister, Krista, would like to read.
It would be a young adult novel with supernatural elements, the kind of things they saw on television programs like “Charmed” and “Angel,” and read about in books by authors like Kevin Brooks. Ritchie sat before her computer for hours at a time that summer, with her sister reading over her shoulder and constantly wanting to know what would happen next.
The Dollar, Detroit, and Da State of our Economy!

Peachtree City…is it just me or does it seem like the ground is giving way beneath our feet. But we are resilient right? We stand our ground and for God’s sake don’t let them see ya sweat! We’re all doing the right things? Hmmm, Let’s see! We go to work - but find we have no jobs. Checked out your retirement account? With just one eye open you say. Guys, we all wisely invested in diversified portfolio…. only to find that it has lost half its value! ….And to boot, our houses have lost 20% of their value.

An American Dream in Retrospect
December 4, 2008 by Greg Saunders
Well Peachtree City as if you didn’t know it..we are officially in a recession! In fact we have been in one since 2007. Recently, I heard two people discussing the state of the economy and were debating the difference between a recession and a depression. I wanted to tap them on the shoulder and put in my two cents worth. A recession is when your neighbor losses his job…a depression is when you lose yours! But are these day and times just the tip of the iceberg?
Nightmare on Main Street?
December 2, 2008 by Greg Saunders
Wow Peachtree City, I woke up this morning from a terrible dream. Hmmm…in the movies Freddie Krueger
normally got to you when you fell asleep. But he let me continue to dream, or was it! Well, when I woke up our economic world did not blow up during the night. But what I saw in my dream was another outbreak of serious financial trouble. The decades of irresponsible over-creation of excess money and credit by Alan Greenspan and his Federal Reserve along with the rest of the central banks of the world, were wreaking their inevitable damage.
