Beware….New “Super Speeder” Law is Passed!

March 27, 2009 by Greg Saunders

Hey listen up Peachtree City and all you folks with the “need for speed.”  Governor Sonny Purdue is looking for you to make a mandatory donation to improve trauma care centers in Georgia.  All joking aside, we all know that speed is one of the main contributors to accidents here in Georgia.  In fact, 1 in about every 339 accidents ends up in a fatality.

The new so-called “Super Speeder” law could cost you plenty if you are stopped by one of Georgia’s finest
and clocked driving over 85 mph on a four lane road or 75 mph on a two lane road.  Violators would be subject to an additional $200.00 fine. Also, the bill would impose an additional fee of $400.00 for some violators who apply for license renewal.  Some $23 million dollars is expected to be generated from implementing the new law.

Oh by the way don’t forget to buckle up…its’ a snap!
