At a news conference on Capitol Hill today, the original sponsors of the QRM provision in the Dodd-Frank Act – Sens. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) and Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) – joined Reps. John Campbell (R-Calif.) and Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) to urge regulators to reconsider unnecessarily high down payment requirements under the proposed QRM rule.
The Impact of Dodd-Frank on Real Estate!

Although the 2,314-page Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act signed into law last year doesn’t affect real estate brokers and agents as much as, say, mortgage originators, it does have some significant implications for the industry, said Phillip Schulman, a partner at the Washington, D.C. law firm K&L Gates LLP.
In his remarks at the Real Estate Services Forum Thursday during the REALTORS® Midyear Legislative Meetings, Schulman told attendees that the mortgage lending sector was targeted by many of the bill’s provisions.

Hey Peachtree City…..as you know I have been pretty vocal in communicating with our elected officials here in Georgia about issues related to fiscal responsibility, financial reform, and housing recovery. As a result, I have received personal correspondences from our Senators and well as now receiving emails blasts related to their actions and activities related on these same issues.
Recently, I received an email that contained the latest press release from Senator Johnny Isackson expounding on the Senate’s passage of his amendment to the financial reform bill which was co-sponsored by Senator Mary Landrieu, a Democrat from Louisiana. Flashback to April 22, 2009, the Senate passed an amendment by Isakson to the senate version of the financial fraud bill to create the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission. President Obama signed the Bill into law shortly after on May 29, 2009.
The New American Dream…..Renting?
August 20, 2009 by Greg Saunders
Okay Peachtree City before things become as hostile as a town hall meeting on health care, let me explain the topic. Recently, I read this article in the Wall Street Journal entitled “(Marxism) The New American Dream: Renting.” The article stated that Americans might as well get used to the fact that home ownership is no longer a realistic goal for folks and further suggested that we curtail the enormous government subsidies that are fueling this endeavor. The Marxism connotation as identified in the article’s caption views Capitalism as a society in which a small minority of the population dominates and exploits the vast majority considered the working class.

An American Dream in Retrospect
December 4, 2008 by Greg Saunders
Well Peachtree City as if you didn’t know it..we are officially in a recession! In fact we have been in one since 2007. Recently, I heard two people discussing the state of the economy and were debating the difference between a recession and a depression. I wanted to tap them on the shoulder and put in my two cents worth. A recession is when your neighbor losses his job…a depression is when you lose yours! But are these day and times just the tip of the iceberg?

August 28, 2008 by Greg Saunders
Been awhile since you’ve caught up with Chris Isaak? Well, in the course of his career he has only released nine extraordinary albums, twelve singles, been nominated for two Grammy awards, acted in several motion pictures and starred in his own critically acclaimed TV series. His legendary shows with his longtime band Silvertone have entertained tens of thousands of people for over two decades. Even his hair has its own fan club. And yet, this highly praised herald platinum-selling artist has never released a greatest hits album. That is until now!
