Stockholders Approve Delta & Northwest Airlines Merger!

Well Peachtree City Residents, it happened yesterday, September 25th.  The news broke back in April and now Delta and Northwest Stockholders have overwhelmingly approved the proposal for the merger of Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines.  Here are the facts.  Delta stockholders approved the issuance of 1.25 shares of Delta common stock for each outstanding share of Northwest stock to be distributed upon closing of the merger, expected sometime later this year. The proposal was approved by approximately 99 percent of the votes cast by Delta stockholders.  Also, more than 98 percent of the votes cast by Northwest stockholders were in favor of the merger.
